Burstbot is a project that I founded back in 2012 and before that year I was against all type of computer-based music. Why? Because I'm a musician who's been working 23 years with real instruments (drums and lately analog synthesizers, contact microphones and radio) and I couldn't considered to make music using a computer-based DAW. Until 2011 when I met Holly Herndon, Mat Dryhurst and Scott Arford here in Mexico City — with their now disbanded project Total Accomplishment — there I realized that computer-based music could be done great. The self-imposed taboo was totally erased, especially by the debut album of Holly Herndon "
Movement" for
RVNG Intl on November 13th, 2012.
